Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start combat sports as an Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous verdict. Antonina continued to win and won a silver medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008, a gold medal in 2011, and was the 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012 as well as the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002, during the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious via TKO after round 2 and the subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer as she took a prolonged absence in MMA. She came back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa with a unanimous verdict and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina demonstrated her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera by knees. Antonina accepted an UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight with a unanimous decision. She was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to beat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, and was also defeated by Ariane. Recently Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
